Marbleton

The seemingly-fictional town of Marbleton is located in Kansas, within the United States.

The town is itself steadily in decline, owing to the loss of its major employer (a packaging plant) a few years before the strip starts. This led to significant job losses and to people moving away. Few major employers are mentioned, although it is apparent that arable farming is likely a major industry (notably the production of wheat).

Known Employers, Shops and Civic Amenities

We know that Marbleton has the following businesses:

• the Megatainment Store;
• another shop selling collectable action figures (which could, of course, be Rulette's);
• Rulette's; a gaming hang-out and store;
• the recently opened 'God be with Brew' coffee shop;
• the Bearyfun Pizza restaurant; and,
• the Laughing Dragon Chinese Buffet (as yet unseen).

Based on some of Rulette's comments, it seems likely there is also a KFC and a Sonic's in the town.

The town is also known to have:

• the Marbleton Library; and,
• a local College (where Jessie studies).
